The agencies, cooperatives and associations working in Venice and its smaller islands, offering all year a chance to make educational excursions and cultural activities, outputs and sustainable food and wine itineraries between channels, shoals, strong and monasteries, even in places less known and visited the Venetian lagoon.
Among the various types of excursions offered, Brunella prefers cultural routes, where families, groups of friends, university of free time, photo enthusiasts and those wishing to experience a unique and exciting, they can combine the pleasure of a boat ride to discover the history and art of this wonderful region.
Among the recent excursions in Brunella which he participated, a favorite was the one organized by Centro Studi Torcellani: “An afternoon in the lagoon: Mazzorbo and San Francesco del Deserto – San Francesco of the Desert“
The excursion was charming and special, during which the director of the Centre for Studies Professor Molin, who on this occasion was both organizer and guide, he was able to captivate the participants telling the history and anecdotes of the Churches of Mazzorbo, revealing that certainly is not in the written texts. After the visit to Mazzorbo and the Church of Santa Caterina, the group excursion sailed on a typical lagoon boat to San Francesco del Deserto. Once on the island, a franciscan father has personally welcomed the group and did visit the monastery, explaining the history and the history of the island from where St. Francesco lived for some weeks in 1220, on his return from his pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
